Romans 1:16 As pastor of HHBC, I thank God for the privilege and opportunity to present this Good News of salvation through God's Son, Jesus. To be part of God's plan and present this message to our community and church is a blessing and joy. The Holy Spirit is doing a work in our church and individual lives. Allow me to share a brief history and background. My wife, Ruth, and I were raised in Christian families. My father, Rev. Roger S. Richards, is still active and preaching the Word of God in a fine Southern Baptist Church in Pope, MS. My mother and father have had a shared ministry for over 63 years. Ruth's mother, Addie B. Choate, was born to Southern Baptist medical missionaries to China. Addie B. was a missionary, Bible teacher, and an active church worker all of her life. In fact, she suffered a fatal stroke in 2001 while leading a Bible Study group on Wednesday night at her church. God has provided a solid foundation for future kingdom work and continues to bless my family. We have two sons ages 27 and 22 who are saved and active in their churches. God has shown us much grace in our 28 years of marriage. An active church of loving believers is so important for every family, especially in these end times. HHBC has an open door for the children of God. We are ready and eager to disciple, mentor, and show the love of Christ to anyone that comes to worship. As a body of believers, we worship the living God in truth and spirit. The Bible, God's Holy Word is taught in every class, age group and fellowship. Come join us as we sing, pray, and give glory to God for His mercy and grace everlasting. "For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith.""
