Sundays at Highland Heights Baptist Church
The hardest part of visiting any church can be just "making it through the doors" the first time. We want to put you at ease and want you to know you will be greatly blessed by your first visit. Your first visit to Highland Heights Baptist will be pleasant and friendly. You will experience inspiring music, helpful teaching from the Bible, and friendly people who do not pressure you. We know that you will feel welcome and 'at home"! Here are a few answers to some questions you may have before coming.
When are services?
9:30 AM Bible Fellowship Groups for All Ages
10:45 AM Morning Worship Service
Where do you meet?
We meet on the corner of National and Faxon about one block off Highland Avenue and one block from Summer Avenue.
Where should I park?
Parking is readily available on the north side of the church off National Avenue, across the street from the church on the South side, and also on street parking.
What is the atmosphere like?
You will find friendly people, straight forward Bible preaching, a blend of inspiring music in an exciting and comfortable environment. We want to make you feel as welcome as possible.
What should I expect?
Our worship service begins with music and then an opening prayer. After that we have more music and a time of greeting one another. Then Pastor John will give a sermon designed to help you to apply biblical principles to everyday life. At the end of the message there will be a time for prayerful response for everyone. As we close our time together an offering is received and then a prayer will close our service. You are welcome to talk with our pastor after the service with any questions you may have.
How about kids?
We love children at Highland Heights. Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age child. For our Sunday morning activities there are safe, clean, and well staffed nurseries for children four years old and under. You can relax and enjoy the service knowing your little one is being cared for. We have fun and friendly Bible-centered classes (BFG's) before our worship service for all children not in the nursery. We love to have our children be a part of our Sunday morning worship service.
What about my teens?
We love teens! Highland Heights has a desire to reach and help young people learn about God and learn about life through the church. We provide Bible teaching and mentoring that is relevant and applicable to their lives. The teens at Highland Heights Baptist will be challenged, encouraged and blessed through singing, serving, praying and also the teaching of the Bible.
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at Highland Heights Baptist Church for members, attenders or guests. As you come to our Sunday morning services you will see many different kinds of dress, some a little formal, some less, and a lot in between. Our main goal is that you feel welcome and comfortable on your first visit here at Highland Heights Baptist. Please do not worry about being under dressed. We want you to come as you are!
Any other questions?
If there is something that we missed on this list, just give us a call, or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you're new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it's been a long time since you've attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Highland Heights Baptist will be wonderful.
We hope to see you this Sunday!
